Iran’s Assembly of Experts has chosen Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the third Leader of the Islamic Revolution. He is the son of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei who was assassinated in a US-Israeli airstrike on his office in Tehran on February 28, 2026, the first day of the ongoing US-Israeli military aggression against Iran.
